Its been so long since I blogged, 3 months, I wonder if anyone is going to even see this...IS ANYBODY OUT THERE!!!?....I have been busy. I know . The lame-est excuse ever.
Since I last blogged my printer died....no funeral...just a lot of kicking, screaming, and then crying...I loved my printer, sniff. Now I have a new deluxe model and suspicion and paranoia have set in . We have not bonded yet. My every wish is not it's command and our relationship is off to a rocky start. I just tried to scan some vacation photos into my computer so I can show you the grand kids and "error" and "failure to communicate" keeps pooping oops popping up.I went to trouble shoot and it printed out a 9 page discourse of ideas to fix it.( I am now really getting steamed!!!). step 1 was "check the tray next to the clock"......What clock? What tray? I can't even go to step 2 till I find the clock and the tray. It sounds like a stupid scavenger hunt!!!!
Well ...I guess I will have to show the photos later after I have Brian see if he can find the clock and tray get my scanner working.( I am seriously considering divorce and somehow getting back together with my old printer. )
We went up into the mountains of New Mexico for our vacation. It is beautiful there. 7000-9000 feet. We stayed in Ruidoso in a condo on top of a mountain. We watched fireworks in Alamagordo, celebrated the 50th anniversary of the UFO crash in Roswell (weird!! but fun)
watched a stealth fighter bomber fly over our car at White Sands, ate Texas bar-b-q in Cloudcroft and shopped for souvenirs there. Not once did it get over 80 degrees. It was 117 in Phoenix. We were happy not to be in Phoenix for the 4th. Oh we went to Capitan NM and visited the birth place of Smokey The Bear too. Of course I had to buy Tabitha her own stuffed Smokey wearing his ranger hat.
Speaking of grandkids, Congradulations Mark and Sandy.Mom said it's a little girl. We are excited for you. Keep us posted.
Mom also said that you, Mark, got new peepers like me. My right eye is really great 20/20
except for reading ( I use Walgreen glasses) my left eye had to have the capsule in back of the new lens lazered off and I got a little astigmatism where the cataract scar on my cornea didn't lay flat so not quite 20/20 in that eye..but not bad. Im not complaining. My vision improves every time I go in for my 4 mo. check. so I guess I'll keep um.
The monsoon hit last week so Mom's RA flared up . Her back and hands this time. She doesn't complain much but I know they hurt her. She keeps pretty busy with her girlfriends at the retirement center. She found another bingo group there so now its 2 days a week. For 86 she is doing quite good.
My phone died about a month ago and I found I could download an awsome scrabble game onto my new one so we are never apart. If I forget and leave the house without my phone I start to go into withdrawl and have to go back for it. The game is the same one as on my computer. I play it constantly, in Dr.s offices, at work( tsk, tsk), the beauty shop, when I wake up, before I go to sleep, at stoplights.......I think I might need help. I am intermediate now and I constantly beat the computer...I just love beating the computer...my high game so far is 449 points. It is s-o-o-o relaxing! I won't go to advance cause I'm afraid the computer will beat me more.( sick)Jonathan downloaded monopoly on his phone. I forgot to ask him where he keeps the tinny tiny little pieces of money? ha!
That's it for now from here. Maybe I will have some photos next blog. Ta, Ta for now.

Glad you're back!

Sounds like you DID have a busy Summer (which isn't quite over yet). I'm sure you had a great time with the kids/grandkids. I'm looking forward to that.

I have been intending to e-mail you about the baby since we found out, but you know the ol' Holt communication thing.... a lame excuse, too.

We're really excited about the baby... and Jess is coming here to have it. We're excited about that, too. I will try to do better at keeping everyone informed.

My LEFT eye is 20/20. If you and I walk side-by-side, we'd do GREAT seeing EVERYTHING. (Of course, if we walked side-by-side with the wrong sides, we'd be screwed!)

Glad you guys are doing well.
