I guess it's time I blogged again. I think it has been about a mont again.

I am just sick about the way the election seems to be going. I am afraid that we are going to have a very dangerous man for us in office, namel Obamah. He and the democrate party scare me to death, but then if he gets voted in , then I guess we've asked for it. I sound like E'Ore. I think I better get off the subject of politics before I have to seek psychiactric help for depression. ( E'Ore is a donkey isn't he? Oh great!!!...I think my analogy was a Fruedian slip....ya think?)

On to better things . We just got back from Pinetop Friday. We spent the week there with the kids and grandkids to look at hot rods and enjoy the beautiful forrest and now I need another vacation to get me rested up from the one I just took! Grandkids are wonderful but they sure know how to wear a body out. We played in parks, fed ducks and geese in a beautiful woodland lake, ate lots of pizza and Mexican food, walked, shopped, and walked some more...whew...makes me tired just remembering it. It, however, was a good time for all!! A really nice R&R.

We all stopped by the group home to see gramma on the way home. She was thrilled to see the grandkids. She still says she is happy at the group home so I guess God found just the right place for her. She looks so much healthier and has found a "best friend" there. Her name is Pat. Mom plays cards or dominos after lunch and dinner with 2 other ladies everyday and really seems to enjoy their company. I went there yesterday and it smelled like a bakery. Simon's( one of the owners) sister was making huge homemade doughnuts with powdered sugar. I sat down to watch the ladies play cards and the next thing I knew a big old doughnut was plopped down in front of me and ...w-e-e-l-l-l....I HAD to eat it. It was yummy. Mom says the food is really good there. The kitchen and eating area are joined so it always smells good in there. I think the sister was making homemade chicken noodle soup for supper too. Actually the home where mom is always smells good, Carrie Sue commented on this when they were there this weekend.. It is so neat and clean. Mom's room is spotless, her bed is made, her things were where she could reach them, and mom is always dressed in neat clean clothes with her hair combed and her make-up on.( She smells good too). She is getting such good care. I think she is getting stronger too because she is not using that motor chair. She is also getting her meds on time and correctly...so all is well on that front too. God worked things out wonderfully. I am so grateful.

It was so fun to get back to work Saturday( to those familiar rubber gloves and slippery little suppositories)...yeah right!!! ( even the mentally ill get constipated). I guess I should be glad to have the job..I am. But, after 41 years of the same ole, same ole , I wish I could think of something else that pays the same ( or better) but requires little or no effort. Mabey I could apply for a CEO position at a bank or something. Since I know nothing about banking , it would be only a matter of time and I would be fired, however, I hear the severance packages are to die for.....a pink slip, 22 mil, and a fond farewell. I could handle that.....in spades!!! It would be like winning the lottery...only easier..I probably wouldn't have to put out the dollar for a lottery ticket.

Painting. What's that? I haven't picked up a paintbrush since I touched up the toilet seat in the guest bathroom upstairs about a year ago. There are cobwebs and mouse droppings in my studio and my canvasses are growing green mold. I have forgotten how to draw and have completely run out of ideas ( ha!!). Actually ,it is time I don't have. I told mom I would bring my drawing stuff to her place and we could paint together. We will see.

I still haven't finnished the wash or put all the vacation stuff away yet so must make a beeline for the laundry room...how mundane. Will blog again soon...bye for now.
