I was out driving yesterday , as I have already said, mainly cause it was Tues. and I take mom out to lunch and to get her hair done. I finally talked her into getting her hair cut and shaped so that when she gets showered 2 times a week and they wash her hair, she doesn't look like a punk rocker anymore when they get done. We took her to church Sunday and I was hoping that they weren't thinking that she was candidating for the praise band. She does not have a church service to go to anymore since leaving Thunderbird so Jon and I are are going to take her to our church every other week. If gas gets cheaper we will try to do it every week . It's about a 70 mile round trip to get her then another 70 to take her home so every other week is about all we can do for now. She was thrilled to go with us and afterward said it was her church now also. We took her to breakfast and she enjoyed that too. She is eating so much better now. I told Mark about our first week at the group home fiasco but didn't blog it. Gramma was really ill that first week. She had not been eating right and had such an impaction that she was almost obstructed. After 2 full days in the ER , bocoo laxatives, suppositories and physician attention she was basically straightened out. I felt so bad presenting her to the group home in that condition but Donna, one of the owners said," Do not vorry vee straighten her out, good food and care and she be OK.. has happened before and vee take care of it."...V-e-e-l-l...that sold me and they have . Mom's color ( which was grey) is now pink again and her appetite and strength is returning. I took her to El Paso for lunch yesterday and she ate 1/2 a platter of onion rings ( the group home is going to love me for that) oh, and a dish of cowboy beans too...ahem...but she enjoyed them so much!!! By the way I ate the other 1/2....Poor Jon.
I just made some really good coffee and must now go have a cup so have a great week and pray for the debate tonight and the election...Babs

I'm not too crazy about the election, either. I know the Bible says that ALL authority is established by God... but OBAMA??!! I will not be thrilled if he wins.
Glad mom's doing well. I've tried to talk with her a couple of times, but her phone cuts off (or she hits the wrong button). I'll keep trying though.
Glad you're back to blogging.
"TELL YO'MOMMA... NO OBAMA!!!"
